Gentle Readers, you are probably wondering where we have gone for the past few days…well, not far but the atelier has been a beehive of activity as we re-organize. There come those times when you come to the realization that you have way too many things getting underfoot and slowing down your effectiveness so you have to just stop what you’re doing and get yourself re-organized.

The hallway to Karin’s work studio is lined with some of our parasols and many more to come!

For us, this meant getting ride of a lot of things that had either outlived their usefulness or that we had held onto for far too long (after 30 years, it’s time to let go of all those accumulated college text books :-)). So…with trash bins overflowing, vacuum cleaners humming, and dust rags snapping, we proceeded to attack the mess and after four days of mortal combat (so to say), we can see the light at the end of the tunnel…or at least the dogs and the cat don’t have to hide themselves as much. 🙂

At the same time, we have upgraded our technology with new computers, a color printer, and refurbished our vintage sewing machines. The end result? we will be able to maintain our quality while being able to better serve our clients.
