Another crazy week begins as we gear up to once again head out to No. 11 for the Tombstone Territorial Days event. For us, the centerpiece of the event is the ball which will be on Saturday, September 16 in historic Schieffelin Hall and we’re bringing our best clothes. 🙂 But more importantly, we will be helping decorate the hall for the dance, giving it a more 1880s ambience- it’s been awhile since a dance has been held in Schieffelin Hall and we hope it’s the start of a new tradition.
In the meantime, it’s pandamonium here in LA as we make final adjustments while working in some last-minute tasks dealing with the sale of our La Crescenta home- looking forward to when that’s all done. 🙂 Well, that’s all for now- see you out there. 🙂
Well, once again it’s time to head home- the unseasonably hot weather in LA has tapered off (somewhat) and the La Tuna fire appears to be well under control so hopefully things will calm down for a bit- after all, we have important work to do here. 🙂
Back to the relative coolness of the coast…
But never fear, we’ll be back soon for the Third Annual Territorial Days event and it promises to be fun and exciting. It’s funny how we manage to spend more time in Tombstone in the month of September than in all the other months combined. 🙂 Anyway, stay tuned for more.
We’re putting in a plug for Third Annual Tombstone Days event! Scheduled for the weekend of September 16-17, 2017, this event celebrates Arizona’s territorial history and is sponsored by Tombstone Forward, a group dedicated to marketing and promoting Tombstone as a destination. Various activities are scheduled for the event to include a special show, Reel to Real: Hollywood vs. Old West which compares the Old West in reality to that depicted in films. It promises to be an interesting presentation and we’re making plans to be there- time and date to follow (it’s odd that it’s not mentioned in the poster but we’ll find out).
See you down the trail!
