After a long drive, we’re back at the LA Atelier and now gradually getting caught up on our various projects. 2016 has been an exciting year for us and especially with the introduction of out line of historically-inspired bridal designs. If you have any questions in regard to our designs, please feel free to contact us HERE. 🙂

To Those Who Went Before Us…

What’s so special about my gown? I made it originally as a personal project from notes taken from a few family portraits. I don’t physically resemble anyone in my family (mostly light hair/blue-eyed) except my Mother…and my Great Aunt Florence.

I was told that I met her as a young child, nothing specific (you know how family stories go- things are held back, forgotten, or whatever). Below is her graduation portrait taken in  1905, my favorite fashion year.

Here are a few more of the dress, taken in front of No. 11 in Tombstone…which, by the way, was built in 1905. 🙂

Out And About In Tombstone…

Today we decided to take a walk about Tombstone and take in the sights. This weekend is “Showdown In Tombstone,” an event dedicated to commemorating the Gunfight at the OK Corral. For us, it commemorates the first time we visited Tombstone back in 2002 and since then, we’ve made it a tradition to come every year. So in the spirit of the event, here’s a few pictures of us, first at No. 11:

And For Some More Under Construction At Lily Absinthe…

French net, hand-dyed silk ribbon, and chiffon flounces glide over our custom blue ruffled petticoat. She’s waiting on her French fleurs and embroidery. <3
