At No. 11…

Assembling trees and detangling garlands, so very grateful for central heat…which this old house does NOT have, but our LA house does! I’ve got the baseboard heaters going and I’m about to bake supper, so that should help. Old wood Victorian house=brrrrrrrr! 🙂

And We’re Off To No. 11

And we’re off to No. 11…truck completely filled with various dresses and Christmas decorations. Of course, the Terriers are also comping along so they’ll be in their custom travelling crate. 🙂 We will be busy for the next few days getting the house prepared for the Holiday Tour of Homes but it’s definitely worth it. If you’re in the area (or plan to be) please enjoy this event, it’s for charity and there are so many wonderful homes and places of interest to see. <3

Back To No. 11 For The Holiday Tour Of Homes

Tombstone isn’t just a city with a famous gunfight, it’s also known for it’s wonderful Holiday Tour of Homes! This year our # 11 is included in this lovely event. “The Dressmaker’s Cottage at #11” will be fully decorated for Christmas and will have extra surprises of antique machines, part of our antique clothing museum, and a few sparkly things. So today, I am packing and finishing some work here…but very excited. If you’re in the area (or plan to be) please enjoy this event, it’s for charity and there are so many wonderful homes and places of interest to see. <3

And It’s Back On The Road Again…

Enjoying something dark and French before driving back to LA. Packing is such sweet sorrow but we’ll be back on November 11 with the handsome new suit I’m making for Adam and a truck full of holiday swag so we can get ready to deck these halls for the 2016 Holiday Home Tour in December- which we are very excited about! 🙂

One More Project…

Last project before I go back to LA…the new peacock printed half-curtains. The fabric is still on the roll, waiting…I’ve been learning to live with the embroidered linen sheers while I’ve been here and to not cloister myself with dark heavy drapes. There’s something so beautiful about the Arizona light here, no wonder I always feel so creative in this house. <3
