Every Lily Absinthe order in the past four years or so has had parts (or all) sewn on this machine- a 1949 Singer 201 on my Art Deco industrial base. My dream machine! Most of my phone calls are taken from here too. <3

It’s a slow day in Tombstone and everyone’s taking it easy…for a bit..and then it’s back to work! 🙂

Another Singer 201…
My sweet 201K is being rewired to US specs today. She’s from a generation of Singers that were made in the United Kingdom just before WW II, and made to be both treadle and electric…perfect for blackout nights…just lower the head, and loop the belt, easy! She’ll be joining the clan at our No. 11 in Tombstone, perfect for monsoon storms with their infamous power outages. I’m looking forward to plugging her in, she’s only been treadled in this country…check out the cute labels on that motor. <3
And We’re Here…
After a nine-hour drive, we’re finally in Tombstone. The SUV was completely stuffed with two vintage sewing machines, dresses, corsets, fabrics, and all manner of supplies and I had to drive with only the mirrors to look back with. 🙂 Now it’s time to set up the No. 11 workshop and get to work….
