Molly On The Grand Tour…

Molly

Miss Molly says a hearty good morning after devouring a scone- well, rather some scone crumbs. 🙂 Molly has been our constant companion here at Clockwork Alchemy, providing companionship and otherwise providing comic relief for what has been an extremely busy weekend. Onward and upward! 🙂

Gilding The Flowers…

Karin Dress Clockwork 2017

Some beds are meant for finish work…this silk gown has museum lace and hand painted and…gilded flowers. I finally used my gilding tools from my LA City Calligrapher career to “frost” two gowns. I get to wear this in a few hours…but wait until you see the one my beautiful model Thena is wearing!

Traveling On The Grand Tour – Clockwork Alchemy

Sewing Machine

After a long night, we’re putting the finishing touches on our entries for the fashion show here at Clockwork Alchemy. Like most of our gowns, these two gowns are inspired by art, in this case these two are inspired by Impressionist and Pre-Raphaelite painters.

Of course, when one goes on tour, many outfits are required and we brought just a few…

Dresses

and of course we brought along Miss Molly, our creative consultant to oversee the proceedings…

She’s a little cross because we’ve been slow in getting up and taking her out for her morning constitutional. 😉

And of course, we also couldn’t have done it without the aid of our Singer 301:

We have to say that this event is an exciting opportunity for us in that we will get to display some of our newest designs before the public and it brings up to a whole new level. Clockwork Alchemy is oriented towards steampunk but don’t let that throw you- it’s rooted in the Victorian Era and that’s exactly where we are. Stay tuned for more updates!

Lily Absinthe Returns To Clockwork Alchemy!

We are happy to announce that once again, we will be showing some our designs in the fashion show at the Clockwork Alchemy Convention on Sunday, May 28, 2017. At that time, we’ll be unveiling some new designs and while we would love to preview them, we’re keeping them under wraps for now- you’ll just have to wait. 🙂
