Helldorado Diary- Day 1

Helldorado Diary, Day One. Town is full, the house has had a stream of people visiting and dressing, the weather is perfect. I did bring a lovely gown for today, so I may actually leave the house.

And here’s Angus posing as our test model…

Flossing The Corset…

Luscious blush and salmon vintage silk flosses from Elizabeth Emerson Designs, the packaging is beautiful and the threads are lovely to work with!

Corsetry…

Boning corsets today, it’s harder than it sounds because: 1. I prefer the casings to be tight and precise; and 2. this corset model has extreme curves!

It’s All About Structure

One of the basic building blocks of any period style is “Structure”…which is what each of these images represent. Our gowns are made to be worn with a proper understructure, and I take it upon myself to make sure that those structures are beautiful. Oh, and by the way, I prefer wearing my corset to modern lingerie any day!

Fall Is Here!

Fall is here we’re definitely feeling here in Southern California. So what’s on? Work continues on our line of ready-to-wear Day Lilies collection as well as a line of corsets available in a variety of colors and constructed from fabrics sourced on our travels through Europe. 🙂 Later, in early November we’ll be heading out to Paris to enjoy a more “proper” Fall but first, it’s to work.  🙂
