Getting Ready For Helldorado…

We’ve had a busy year, so I may…or may not be able to finish my new blue gown for “Helldorado” weekend in Tombstone. I’ve been busy with corset orders, and making new samples, then you may have heard that there were fires in the LA area this week. Sigh…busy. Last year for Helldorado, we had one of the heaviest hail and lightning storms on record for the area! Is it Old West Climate Change…or is Tombstone truly a haunted place? It sure feels like it sometimes…See you on Allen Street, as we go East…to be in The West. 🙂

Off To Town…

The wedding’s over so now it’s time to kick up out heels so we decided to head off to Allen Street and naturally this called for something special…

This is our interpretation of the “saloon” dress, designed to display a palette of complementary colors in an exciting arrangement. This is just the dress to wear to that evening fandango in town! 🙂

Wedding Time At Helldorado…

Helldorado is not only a reunion for fans of all things Tombstone, but it’s also a great place to get married and that’s where Lily Absinthe swings into action…one of recent projects is this wedding dress:

And here’s a standing view:

This dress is one of our Tatiana style and while it’s hard to tell from the picture, there’s a light green underlayer on the overskirt, giving the dress a subtle shade of green.  It was, understandably, a stressful day for the bride but in the end, it was worth it:

And now for the ceremony…. 🙂

Voila! We wish the happy couple all the happiness in the world! 🙂

At No. 11…

We’ve arrived in Tombstone for Helldorado Days and now it’s time to get the house in order after all the renovation that’s been going on…

Angus is checking everything out…he’s not too crazy about the mess…

Things were in a bit of a disarray in the front room (formerly the bedroom) but the plan is to restore it to its original purpose as a parlor, complete with a few working sewing machines- yes, it’s meant to be a functional room. 🙂 And here’s a progress picture:

Making progress in the parlor…

And of course, Angus has already chosen his new resting place…
