From the Atelier – From Concept to Execution: A Movie Dress

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in constructing a dress that we fail to see how the final product will look on a live person. Early in 2024, I began construction of a simple 1880s day dress that I created to be used as part of our film wardrobe and finally, it was used in a production of the short film, “The Seamstress” which should be released sometime in 2025. Below are some views of the final dress:

From the Atelier – On to the Next Project

Pulling three more racks of clothes for the next job to join the two that are already at No. 11, and more on Monday. Leaving Wednesday am for three weeks in different locations in Southeast Arizona; Adam will fly out to join and help wrap on the 24th. Townspeople (fashionable and not), saloon types, rough ranchers, lawmen…and hoping to style a few lovely *non feathered* saloon girls. Prepared with petticoats. More is better.
