And We’re Off!

We’re off to the UK for a week and a half of shopping, research, and just plain fun! We’ll have more soon! 😁

More Progress…

Currently making sleeves, boning, beading, and one more try-on to make sure it’s all good. Skirt will get wrapped in a top sheet for my check-in, bodice goes in my carry-on for when I get bored and need something to sew and work on. This trip will be somewhat short, but then I’ll be getting ready to go to the Tombstone house and relax in the Old West. 😄

Working Hard…

Have you ever spent six hours looking for that one special piece of lace that was set aside for a gown that has to be finished in two days?
Um, yeah. Me, neither. 😆

Happenings At The Atelier

Finishing an 1890s style ballgown for the Prior Attire Ball, there’s a week to finish it until we fly out. And a day jacket for a suit. Because, you know…life gets in the way. I also had to create all new underpinnings, so there’s that. Not coming up for air until it’s finished! 🙂

Looking Back…

Looking back…What do you do the night before an event or gathering?
Yeah… me, too.

Two AM, and I remembered I had to pad stitch all these pleats closed. FUN! Sewing in hotel rooms isn’t what I bargained for…can I get an eye roll? 🙄😏
