Taking Bonnie Prince Angus and driving off to our #11 for a little old timey R & R. Now before you all get jealous…”R & R” means “Repair & Restoration”! I will be lucky if I even get to town, my vacation will involve a dust mask and a paint brush. 🙂
I‘ll be going out to our No. 11 next week and staying for Wyatt Earp Days, but these two lovelies are coming to live with us there…so excited. Mike R. Benjamin is a Master at what he does. btw, that’s plum silk velvet. Gentlemen, mind your spurs in this house! 🙂
Lilly Absinthe is once again on the road, headed out to Tombstone, somewhat belatedly. 🙂 It’s just a quick turnaround this time, just long enough to secure the Christmas decorations, move some furniture around and plan out the next phases of our renovation of No. 11.
If you don’t know, we’ve been engaged since February in renovating No. 11, performing many overdue upgrades to the house along with completely remodeling the kitchen and bathroom areas in order. The renovations will not only update and modernize the underlying electrical and plumbing, but will also enhance the historic nature of the house and well as enhancing the day-to-day liveability. It’s exciting to see the transformation and we’re not done yet. 🙂
It’s Monday and I’m recovering from the drive back from Arizona so there’s not a lot for today. 🙂 Here’s a picture of me from the Third Territorial Days Ball:
I was going for a formal white tie look but unfortunately, I’d left my white tie back in LA so I had to improvise with another tie which is more flashy but a bit more earlier in terms of period. Well, next time I won’t be for forgetful… 😉
Well, once again it’s time to load up the car and head back to LA. It was a short and busy weekend for us- not only did we have concern ourselves with ball gowns and such, but we also were involved in preparing Schieffelin Hall for the Third Territorial Days Ball. The spray paint sprayed freely this weekend…. 🙂
Well, we’re off to our next adventure…We’ll have more soon! 🙂
