Morning coffee in the Violet Parlor. Looks like that original chromolith that I call: “Harem Girl” is going to join my group of Victorian brunette naughties here at #11…she is lovely ❤️ Largish vintage print is coming down and Harem Girl will take that place. The Guest room behind that wall is also getting a makeover, moving furniture around is what I do when Adam isn’t here! A bit of artistic chaos always ends up wonderfully. I’ve got a plan.
The Old West
At No. 11 – Off to Town!
At No. 11 – Helldorado Day 1
Helldorado 2024 Diary, Day One. There is work to do. I get 1 1/2 days off from work, so getting in some fun before I have to finish projects…actor’s suits, set dressing, and re-styling the guest room. There is a plan, but first I need to get dolled up and do a little people-ing in the Town To Tough To Die.
From the Atelier – On Set
Set Life. Worked with some greats on a Billy the Kid Discovery Channel documentary that’ll air in early 2025-ish. In my happy place. Film work has begun to pick up a little and yesterday I provided costume support to small production filmed on a movie ranch not too far from the Atelier. Below are a few views:
Here’s the exterior- it’s actually pretty small and even smaller when you include the cast and crew…

The drive in…and as usual, phone and wifi reception are poor to non-existent…
RE: From Portrait to Film…
This is a truly special gown, I used this portrait for inspiration. Days of intense drafting, pleating, old silks, and antique lace later, I get to see it in motion on the big screen in: The Memoirs of Madam Moustache at the Wild Bunch Film Festival. And the finished product:

Fiona approves!
