It’s been a quick four days and now it’s time to load up the truck and head back to our atelier back in Los Angeles. Yes, back to the hustle and bustle of Southern California after a short rest but not to worry, we’ll be back in a few weeks. 🙂 Life in Los Angeles can be a monumental pain with all the traffic and all the other nonsense but at the same time it’s where the fashion business is happening and so hence our presence. 🙂
Looking forward, besides developing new designs, we will also be attending several conventions in the near future where we’ll be giving presentations on late 19th Century clothing and its place in the American West and we’ll be looking to present several of our new designs to the public. All in all, it’s shaping up for a busy 2016 for Lily Absinthe and while the pace may get hectic, it’s all worth it in the end.
Until we meet up again, here’s a picture of Clara Kinney who lived in Tombstone c. 1885. This is a nice image in that it shows that women in Tombstone did dress quite respectably and runs counter to the popular belief that all women in Tombstone were either prostitutes or saloon girls. Food for thought. 🙂

So until the next time, happy trails!
